LifeSouth is federally licensed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and a member of the AABB, the AABB National Blood Exchange, the AABB Inspection and Accreditation Program (letter of accreditation), and America’s Blood Centers.

LifeSouth collects, tests and distributes more than 725 units of blood every day, about 250,000 annually.

Based in leading medical referral areas of the Southeastern United States, we serve thousands of patients each week. This requires LifeSouth to collect, process and manage a large blood supply. To fulfill the growing blood needs of the communities we
serve, we have a regionalized approach to our blood collection and processing program through regional centers established throughout our service areas. LifeSouth customers can access the Customer Operating Procedure Manual here.
